I am a girl who comes from a humble little island called Malta. Two years ago I packed my bags to become a student at the University of Twente and do a bachelor’s in Communication Science. I am also a person who within a couple of months had her entire life flipped upside down. Two months after I moved country, my role model and country’s top investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was murdered. Her death brought about change to my country, but also to me personally. I went from being a rather carefree teenager to becoming an activist for truth and Justice. I now take part in protests, speak in front of large crowds (3500 people plus 10-15 cameramen), and watch my country divide and go through turmoil all while trying to get my degree.
